Project:<\/strong> Design and construction documentation of extensions to two cherished and heavily secured community gardens in a densely urban area of multi-storey apartments for mostly non-English speaking immigrants. A multi-lingual tenant interpreted the other gardeners\u2019 wishes which were incorporated into the designs. Both sites comprised a locked garden of raised vegie beds, composting and delivery bays, and seating areas; and an external public space of shade trees, pergolas, seating, picnic tables and ornamental garden beds. \nRossvale Street Community Garden – Toongabbie NSW<\/h2>\n
\nProject:<\/strong> Concept design for a suburban community garden in consultation with community gardeners and local primary school children \u2013 one class of whom were to illustrate their ideas for a perfect garden for this space. A great majority of their ideas were incorporated in the design which comprised sheds, shade houses, composting, worm farms and delivery bays; BBQ, seating, picnic areas, shady walkways and a central water feature; vegie, herb and flower beds, and bird-attracting plants; pergolas, art works and fruit trees. The concept enabled the school to seek funding assistance to implement the garden.<\/p>\n
